The Power of Personal Branding in Real Estate


First, for starters, you should care because in a noisy and cluttered world, the need for individuality has never been greater.  In fact real estate profession is the people business and people remember great people through emotions as a result of interactions.  In fact according to the Services Marketing research typically the clients will only remember either extremely positive encounters, when they were delighted, surprised, amazed, inspired or they will recall extremely negative encounters, situations when they were shocked by the service provider’s behavior.  In other words people do not memorize situations which are adequate in nature, in which they expectations matched perceptions. Now, think about how much room we, real estate professionals, have to delight our clients and therefore be remembered and buzzed about resulting in free positive word-of-mouth and referral business.

Secondly, if you do not take the time to define, design and manage your personal brand, someone else will do it for you by default.  These are just Public Relations fundamentals do a quick test: think how will people speak about you if you are to step out of the room? What reputation, image they will describe?

Lastly, your need to control your brand because You are remarkable and special.   The process of creating personal brand is taking charge of your reputation which will allow you to project into the world what is special about you.  Do not let people to make a blind guess!  Discover who you are, your passion, package it and consistently communicate the value of Special You.

This is the basis for success today.  You have to stand out from the rest of the bunch, on your terms, in your unique way.
